The Canadian Falls, as seen from Goat's Island. You can get a much better
view from Canada, but we did not go there because one of the members of
our party was from Korea, and it was uncertain if we could get him back
into the US if we left. The lower viewing area was glazed with ice, so
this picture was from an upper overlook.
We then walked to the Three Sisters Islands [I think there were three of
them]. In any case they are these tiny islands out in the river just
before the falls. Here's the view upstream from the bridge.
Here is Kris boldy ignoring the sign warning "Those venturing off the
paved pathway are subject to Injury and/or Prosecution". She actually
walked out much further right to the edge of the torrents. And of course,
after taking this picture, I followed her.
