This page describes a version I released with the first
5 levels replaced with Homestar Runner themes.
Details
I posted about the demake to the Lemmings forum and someone asked if I
had considered making custom levels more suited to my version. I thought
about making some nice, clever, levels that would suit the Apple II
gameplay but instead I took the easy route and just made some using
some Homestar Runner clip art.
This wasn't totally random, the Lemmings demake code heavily depends
on code written for the Peasant's Quest demake.

Screenshots
Note: these were captured with the AppleWin emulator.
Various levels. Fully playable (though limited to a single screen):
System Requirements
Any sort of Apple II with 48k RAM should work (II/II+/IIe)
For sound/music you'll need 64k of RAM
For music (and accurate clock)
you'll need a Mockingboard sound card
For the split-screen intro messages you'll need a IIe
Should also run on IIc or IIgs but not tested as often
How can I play it?
You can download the image below and then try running it on a real machine.
You can download the image and run it on an emulator.
There are many out there, I use Applewin under WINE on Linux
(be sure to enable Mockingboard under sound support).
One of those ideas that gets into your head and then I spent the weekend
implementing it. The Trogdor level didn't turn out as nicely as I imagined
it would.
