von Engeln preserve, blueberries, Ithaca Falls
K and I went to the "O. D. von Engeln Preserve at Malloryville",
which is a nice park near to us featuring a lot of glacier-created terrain.
We got to see a marsh, a fen, a swamp and a bog.
There is also a kame and an esker (hopefully you paid attention in Earth
Science class, so I won't explain any of that).

Here is some indian pipe that was growing on the esker:
And here are some pitcher plants in the bog:
And here's a plot of where we walked. It was a small area, so we made many
cycles:
After that, we got blueberries!
The next day we stopped by Ithaca Falls:
And we even braved nature! It wasn't anywhere near as exciting as the sign
led us to expect:
