Lime Hollow
We went to the
Lime Hollow Center for Environment and Culture.
Unfortunately soon after we got there it started to rain, but we enjoyed our
visit anyway.
There were a lot of wildflowers, I'll spare you and only show a few.
These violets (possibly a Long Spurred Violet) were everywhere:
There were also Jack in the Pulpit's:
There were a lot of trails, and a fossil hill (where I did find a small
fossil).
We then walked along an esker to Chicago Bog:
As always in this part of the world, it's all their because of the glaciers.
My GPS ran our of batteries, so this only shows part of our hike. That's
Chicago Bog in the upper right:
