On Saturday it was rainy, but a trip was planned to
Taughannock Falls,
supposedly ones of the highest single drop falls East of the Mississippi.
[Fall Creek
Falls is higher at least, as someone has told me. Silly tourist boards
trying to make their waterfalls sound more impressive].
The reason I look goofier than normal is because we were on a narrow
footbridge and I was leaning back so I wouldn't be too close to the camera.
It was really raining, and the spray from the falls was blowing in our faces.
On Sunday it was time to leave lovely Ithaca. Of course I awoke to find
this, despite it being late March.
When I actually left an hour later it was sticking to the road too, making
an awful mess. The roads were snow-covered until Pennsylvania, and there
was snow on the ground until northern Maryland. Of course down by Abingdon
it was snowing but not sticking.
And that was my adventure.
